The feeling of spaciousness was enhanced because no height design interrupts the visual depth. Both the furniture that defines the living and dining area and the glass partition of the kitchen allow you to see what happens at any point in the common space.

Seen brick walls:

Recovering this type of original partitions from old houses is not easy, as the passage of time and humidity make them break to the touch. An alternative is to build them new, either with exposed brick or with decorative plate. They fit with any style. It all depends on the finish they are given. For industrial air decorations or vintage, the ideal is to respect its original tone and its imperfections. With a layer of white, black or gray paint, it will be an ideal background for current interiors.

The house was in very bad condition and the project was complex. What they were clear about was that they wanted to create an open space with differentiated environments. Contrary to interventions that hide the beauty of the original materials or the uniqueness of traditional architectural solutions, the distribution was not affected, although they were installed glass partitions that offer total visual communication and let natural light flow through the living spaces.

The glass enclosures, designed by Roura, with black iron profiles, were key in the interior design project. “By having only a small balcony, we invented a vegetable gallery and a large window visible from the entire floor, ”Joan tells us, who loves turning to plants to give life to spaces. The ceilings, the exposed brick walls and the window carpentry were restored; the facilities were conditioned, the pine flooring was replaced by polished concrete and the smooth fronts were painted white, except in the work corner, where blackboard paint was chosen.

The decoration, with very well chosen pieces - some of them, icons of the design -, put the most appropriate finishing touch.
